Look who we found in the garden on Friday night ...
I must admit I wasn't too sure what it was at first, and didn't want to know much more either after I had sniffed a bit too close and got prickled! So, I resorted to my most relied upon mode of address towards things I'm not sure about - I barked!
Dad wasn't happy about that because it was really late - we had been watching the Olympics opening ceremony thingy - so he shooed me inside and let the hedgehog do his own thing, which to me didn't seem a lot as he just scuttled off across the lawn.

Strange noises
So, there we were on Saturday evening, settling in to watch something on the telly when Mum heard a strange rustling noise coming from upstairs. Of course, I went with her to investigate and guess what we found ....
... Murphy who had been busy raiding the bin in Dad's office and found a favourite - an empty crisp packet!
He even tore the packet to pieces to be absolutely sure there were no crisps left in it!

Look what we bought!!
It's a tiger for Tigger to take to his new home when he goes on Sunday.
He's not too big and he squeeks, so I hope Tigger will like him - I do, but Mum says I have enough toys of my own to play with without having another one!

Introducing Tigger
Tigger is a retired greyhound, he is 3 years old like me and going to be a doggy cousin to Murphy and me! He is going to live with Christine and Russell (and sometimes with my human cousin Hannah I think, when she can steal him away) and they are very excited.
Tigger has been living at a greyhound kennels near where we live for about a month and Christine saw him when she came to stay for the weekend recently. She has been back to see him twice and has been very busy buying loads of stuff for him like beds and bowls, but Mum said we can buy him a toy! He's never had a toy before, so I'm not sure what to get him - I'll have to try a few out first!

A walk with friends
Yesterday Murphy and I went out for a walk with my friends from training Holly, Milly and Percy. We all met at the girl's house and had an amazing walk through the fields and the woods that lead straight off their garden.
This is us just after we had set out - it was very muddy so we posed early on in our walk.
I had an especially nice day as Mum let me run with the other dogs without my lead on all day. She said it was because I was good and kept coming back to her to check she was ok - I don't really mind why she did it, I just really enjoyed myself. We walked for miles, stopping after a while for a swim to cool down and to clean off the mud too.
Even Murphy had a swim and YES his feet were off the ground although Mum missed that shot!
When we got back to the house, we were all put into an outside kennel whilst the humans had lunch. Poor Percy didn't like it, although he was the lucky one and at least had his coat on.
Thanks to Kim for a lovely day and Fi for taking the photos that Mum missed! We went home two very tired Welshies. I hope we can go back again soon for another walk.

Visiting
Yesterday we went visiting to see Inca. She is very friendly and said hello to me as soon as I got out of the car. She is bigger than me and has a very long tail (well very long compared to mine).
If I am looking a little bedraggled in the photo it is because Dougal and I played outside all afternoon. There was none of this 'it's raining so we'll stay indoors' for us! Oh no, we were in the garden having a great time and just managed to take this photo before it was time for home, dinner and a BIG sleep!
It was a lovely afternoon and I am really pleased to have Inca as a new friend.
