New favourites

These are our new favourite toys.  Mum bought them for us on a whim, a few days ago and they are brrrilliant!  Mine's the red one.

They make a really great noise and are very loud.  Dad keeps hiding them from us - I don't think he's at all pleased with Mum for buying them.  Still, he's gone out for a bit, so here they are!

We are just back from a brisk and quite breezy walk.  Murphy decided to go to ground under the desk when the camera came out ..

Me?  I was just about to settle down for a snooze when SNAP ...

a boy can get no piece around here

Behind Bars!

Where did they find this?  I haven't seen this gate since I was tiny and then it was used to keep me safe NOT to keep me out of somewhere.

It has been put up at the top of the stairs today because a man is coming to fit a new gas fire for us and Dad doesn't want us getting in the way.  As you can imagine, I am not a happy puppy.

What does unruly mean?

I need to find out because that's what Mum called me today.

I don't think I'm going to like the answer of today's walk is anything to go by.  I was made to walk close to Mum at heel for a good bit of our walk - even when we went across a small field - before being let off on my flexi again later.

Dad was told when we got home that I was 'very pully' and have forgot my walking manners.  I sense some serious training (not the fun stuff where I hunt for things) coming in the next few days!

Brrrr

That was a cold walk we had this morning.  Mum had her big winter coat, scarf, gloves and big boots on to go to Clumber.  Murphy and I are very well equipped and anyway when we are running about there's no time to be cold!

Funny week

We've had a strange few days here.  On Monday we went with Mum to meet Aunty Debbie, Dougal and Inca for a lovely but muddy walk along the river at Sleaford.  As is usual, after the walk we were given a sweetie and made to sit in the car (with our coats on to keep us warm) while the hoomans went off for a nice lunch.  When they had finished - Mum said it took so long because they had 'loads to catch up on' we headed home for a wash and a snooze.

On Wednesday. Mum took Nana home after her stay over Christmas and New Year.  She had been here with us for ages so it felt a bot weird when she left.  She was quite poorly for a couple of weeks, but spending quality time with us has made her much better.
So Mum left us for two days and Dad was in charge, which was fine. In the evening Murphy got his sofa all to himself and I was back on my armchair when we watched the tv.  Dad remembered to feed us at the right times and we had a walk every day.

Mum came home on Friday evening, so this morning we went out for a family walk - the first one for a while.

All change

It was all go here over the weekend.  Firstly very early on Saturday morning a man arrived at the house.  Now he seemed very nice from a distance - we weren't allowed near him as Mum said he was very busy replacing our boiler with a new one.  He was here ages, so in the middle of it all Dad took us for a very wet walk around the village.

After he had gone, Tigger arrived for a while to tell us all about his French New Year.  It sounds just like ours - the hoomans had a big meal followed by bubbly stuff.  One difference is that his dressed up as cowboys and Indians which would have been interesting on that last walk before bedtime!

After he had gone home we took down all the Christmas decorations and the tree.  Everywhere looks very different but at least my bed in the lounge has returned to its normal place.

On Sunday Mum spent a lot of the time playing on her new pooter that she has bought herself.  She seems quite pleased with it and was happy when she had transferred lots of our pictures from her old one.

So it's back to work for Dad today - poor chap - and we are off now for some breakfast and then a walk.  We went to Clumber yesterday morning and it was really busy with loads of people out and about.

Happy New Year

Well, that went by quite fast!  One minute it was 2 sleeps to go and the next it's all over.  I hope you had a good Christmas with lots of yummies and pressies.  Mum was smart this year - she bought squeaky toys that I couldn't destroy in half an hour, so they are still going strong now and are still very noisy!

Question:  why do hoomans buy a squeaky toy and then get cross when they are watching telly and you play with your new toys?

We had a quiet New Year.  After a lovely dinner of chicken and cauliflower cheese (only a tiny bit) we watched that nice chap Gary Barlow on the telly and at midnight had some champagne ... well actually Murphy and I licked the cushion where Mum had split some of hers!

We have had walks with Dad over the last few days as he wasn't working and also said it was to give Mum a break, although why she needs a break from walking us is beyond me.
Today normal service was resumed and Mum took us both to Clumber for a big walk.  These are our first poses of the year ...
