I've been trimmed!

My ears have reduced considerably since this morning.

Mum says I look like a spaniel again!

Dad's new toy

It was lovely and sunny this morning, so Murphy and I decided to take Mum and Dad on a walk at Clumber and let Dad try out his new lens thingy on his camera.  He caught these two shots of me being very good off my lead

Murph doesn't look too impressed with the big hug I got from Mum when I returned to her when whistled!

We posed together for this one but it's always good to watch the master at work!

Phew, What a Week!

It's Friday and we are having a quiet day today catching our breath after a very busy week.  Dad has been on holiday so we've been out and about all over the place.  I have to admit the week didn't start very well for us - we had a visit to the vet for our annual injections.  It was ok .... alright I squeezed myself under a chair and wouldn't come out when it was my turn to be seen.  Our vet (his name is Dave) was very nice to me although I don't recall him giving us any sweeties after out injections! To make up for all that, we went to the Idle Valley Nature Reserve for our walk.  It is quite close to us (no idea why we haven't been there before) and was lovely to walk around.  We picked a walk that we thought would be about 3 miles close to one of the lakes - it ended up being nearer 5 miles and we lost sight of the lake quite quickly!

On Tuesday we met with Auntie Debbie and Judy for another walk around Clumber.  Once again Mum was very good off the lead and let me run free with everyone.  Judy brought her 3 boys and Rye.

She is lovely and I followed her around all day!  Another full day of walking followed by a picnic lunch and some gundog training for Rye.

Here's some photos of us having fun ....

I think that's Jack (or it could be Bean)

Fergus

No idea who this is!

The Gang of Five!
Wednesday was a quiet day as Mum had to go away to Liverpool, so we stayed with Dad.  We did go shopping with him for a while as he had to collect a new 'bit' for his camera.  I can feel a few photo sessions coming on!

And so to Thursday and great excitement when we arrived at THE BEACH!!!!  It was our first visit of the year and made doubly good as we were there to celebrate Fergus' birthday - he was 7 on Thursday - Uncle Dave's birthday the day before and Dad's birthday on Sunday.  It was lovely and sunny for our walk of about 5 miles along a deserted beach and we all behaved beautifully.  I only went casing birds once and after I had scattered them particularly well, I ran back to Mum.  We had a bit of a camera sessions when we got back to then cars with Murphy acting as a model (he just loves it)

then it was off for fish and chips and home for a BIG sleep for me.

Out with friends

Yesterday we had a great day out in deepest Lincolnshire.  Murphy, Mum and I met with Auntie Fi and Percy and then went to see Auntie Kim, Holly and Milly  at their new house - well it is new to us as we hadn't been there before.  We hadn't seen them for ages so it was really great for us to have a big hello run around then garden.

After the hoomans had finished their lunch (food is never far away with this lot) we got ready to go out to explore the area.
Murphy decided he didn't want to be in this one - Percy's gone all camera shy!

We had a lovely walk (I will admit I was very pully on my lead, but Mum said later she forgave me as I was very quiet all evening - I think that's called being 'crackered' or something.)  After quite a long way we arrived at a pub with a very nice garden.  Sadly, some bad timing by the hoomans meant it had just closed, so after a quick stop to catch our breathe we carried on.

Once home, the girls had a wash - us three boys weren't deemed dirty enough for the hose pipe treatment.  Milly and I had a great game of 'kiss chase' in the garden ...

Murphy and Percy waited by the door to be let in and Queen Holly watched in disgust whilst the hoomans had tea and cake in the kitchen without her!

Mum was desperately trying to get us all in one photo and just about managed it with this one!

A really lovely day out, with great company (both hooman and doggy) and a lovely walk too.  We'll be back Auntie Kim!

Oh flip!

Dad is happy with the rugby result and Mum isn't.

I'm going to be a good boy and keep quiet for the evening!

Town walk

We had our walk in town today, which I have to say is not my favourite place even though I have been going there almost every week since I was tiny.

Murphy was with me and Mum had some of our breakfast biscuit with her, so I guess you could say we had a mini picnic in  the castle grounds.  The flowers made it look quite pretty

Correction

How could I have got it all so wrong?

Yesterday I reported that we had 8 Welshies on our walk but I miscounted.

Thank you to Aunty Debbie for pointing out that there were 9 of us and that I hadn't included myself!!  In my defence, I do only have 8 toes on my front paws.

Tired puppy!

That's me fast asleep and there she goes again with the camera

I am resting after a great day out with loads of friends.  We met near where we live but today went to a new place for a 5 mile walk through woods, fields, a farmyard and finally the river which everyone said was very handy at the end because we all came out clean!
Of course, the second part of the exercise was for the hoomans to have lunch and they did but not at the usual place - they went to a pub and all of them said it was very nice.

So, how many of us were there?  Well, there was 7 hoomans, 8 Wekshies and our 2 honorary Welshies Max and Inca.  Yey, we win in the numbers game again!  I still don't know what the collective noun for a group of Welshies is.  Dad keeps insisting it should be a 'Trouble of Welshies'.  Cheek!

Chocolate? For Us?

Imagine our disappointment when Mum came home yesterday after spending the afternoon with Auntie Debbie learning how to make chocolates and she said there was none for us.  I say it's a pretty bad show really, never mind how pleased Dad was!

We are meeting Dougal and the gang for a walk on Tuesday and I'm going to ask him if his Mum said the same thing.
