New house

Here I am sitting in front on the fireplace in my Nana's new house.

Sadly it will still be some time before she can move in as she is still recovering from breaking her hip.  So that gives us plenty of time to get some stuff done in the house for her (painting etc) and for Murphy and I to thoroughly explore the garden.

We have had a quick sniff around the garden this afternoon and Murphy did his usual thing whenever he arrives anywhere - those who know him will know exactly what I mean!  Mum says it just shows that all is right in the world!

He did it!

Our intrepid walker has completed the Norfolk Coastal Path which means he made it to Cromer and a final photo call

Everyone is safely back home and in the usual daily routine which probably means less cake!

Mum says we are meeting up with Fergus and Aunty Debbie this week so I can learn first hand what the walk was like.  I certainly think they all did splendidly well and have put a good walk under their belts as training for the big one in the summer.

Day 4

Morston to Sheringham yesterday - just over 12 miles with a part of it along the shingle beach which I am told was really hard going.

Everyone seems to be doing well and enjoying the walk.  Evenings are very quiet and there seems to be quite a few stops for cake along the way.

Day 3

Only (?) nine miles yesterday.  On another sunny day what could be better at the end of a walk than a relaxing drink by the beach

Day 2

Second day and 12.5 miles in sunny weather - hopefully not too hot for Aunty Debbie as we know she isn't a sun worshipper like Mum.

Fergus seems as if he found some water - Mum always says he is a  water babe but this looks more like a mud lark to me!

Walking Update

So the intrepid Welshie that is Fergus has made a start on the Norfolk Coastal Path and completed the first 8 miles yesterday.

It was a busy day as he and his support team had to drive to Norfolk from home first complete with their brand new mobile kennel (which I am reliably told is very nice!) before even reaching the start line.   He did take a moment to get a quick photo before heading off

and again further along with Max and Inca at Hunstanton

Norfolk Coastal Path

Firstly, no we are not doing such a big walk but I know someone who is .... Fergus.  He is off next week with Max, Inca and the hoomans as part of their training for the summer when they will be doing the Coast to Coast Walk.

Training has been very hard with lots of long walks followed by pub lunches, although I think sometimes just the lunches!  Good luck to you all and don't forget the photos...

Birthday alert take 2

It's my birthday today ... Happy Birthday to ME!

Just back from a walk at Kirton Woods which was full of great smells, pheasants, rabbits and at least one hare.

Home for breakfast followed by a piece of my Easter Egg and a snooze ... what a great start to the day.

Birthday Alert!!

Happy Birthday to Murphy.

He is twelve (12????) years old today and looking fantastic.  We all love him to bits, even in his grumpy moments.

Here's a couple of photos of him at two of his favourite places - Clumber and Beadnell Beach - and a very smart looking chap after being trimmed recently.

I am told there always has to be a 'baby' photo too so here he is at 8 weeks old

Change of season

There are lambs in the fields in the village which usually means that spring is here.

Is it named after me??  I am a springer after all.

End of March?

Where has all the month gone?

We've had some lovely days out walking at our favourite places with friends and some quiet days here at home.  Dad's been gone every day during the week ... I don't know where he heads off too so early in the morning, Mum says it is to earn money to pay for my biscuits and treats.  I say good for him and a big thank you Dad!

I also have to say so e belated birthday greetings - Uncle Dave and Fergus last week and Dad on Monday.  It is Murphy's birthday tomorrow and mine next week, so I think Mum and Aunty Debbie are planning our usual birthday trip to the beach for this weekend.

Yesterday we went back to Thoresby for a walk as Mum thought it would be less windy than Clumber (less trees she said).  Well, it was windy enough but great fun.

Here's looking forward to doggy birthday cake tomorrow.
