Easter Weekend

Firstly I must share a photo of our Easter haul.  Please note the small box on the far left is between Murphy and Me - the rest are for Mum and Dad.

So on Saturday we went to Tigger's house for lunch which was lovely as everyone was there, including a new chap I had not met before.  This was Toby who is living with my hooman cousin Victoria.  He was very friendly and we got on fine until I decided I wanted one of the toys he was laying with.  It all went a bit pear shaped and I was firmly told off and made to have my dinner in the car.

On Sunday Tigger came to our house for dinner.  he has come to stay with nana for almost two weeks while his hoomans are on holiday.  He was a bit upset at first but seems much better now.

Because he is here we have had a big change in our transport.  Mum has swapped cars with Dad for the duration to give Tigger more space to sit on the back seat whilst we are in our crate as usual.

Yesterday, Mum took him for a walk on his own but today we all went together for a walk at Clumber.  It went well I thought and he seemed to enjoy being out with us.

I think Mum did really well getting a photo of us all looking in different directions and not one of them towards her!

Birthday Boys

It's a birthday weekend at Aunty Debbie's this weekend.  Uncle Dave had his special day yesterday and today it's Fergus's turn.

Fergus is 9 today - Uncle Dave is keeping his number secret!

Good Friday Good Puppy

Dad certainly had my attention at Clumber today.  He had a little help from a sweetie.

Lovely walk along Lime Tree Avenue.  It was so busy with loads of people, cyclists, dogs and cars pouring in for the day.  Sadly for us, we had to go home after our walk for a session on the grooming table - we are going to see the rest of the family tomorrow and Mum wanted us to look smart!

New arrivals

One of the farms in our village has 2,000 sheep.

We didn't want to get too close today so not a very good photo, but here's a little one that's arrived already.

We are looking forward to some very noisy walks down the lane over the next few weeks.

Update again

So another busy week is over and once again I haven't managed to  catch 5 minutes on the 'puter to myself.

On Tuesday we had a great day out meeting up with Milly, Fergus, Inca, Max, Dery and Lola and their respective hoomans for a walk.  Also meeting with us was my hooman grandma and my half sister Linnet who I haven't seem since she was teeny.

We had a lovely walk fitted around the hoomans having breakfast and lunch which included ice cream at Thaymar (www.thaymaricecream.co.uk) which is the best apparently.

We had a rugby filled day yesterday - well done Wales - and went to bed with everyone in the house a winner (we represent Wales, England and Ireland so gets a bit sensitive around Six nations time.)

Mum and Dad went our for lunch today and came home with presents for us both.  Murphy got a squeaky that looks like an Oreo cooker and I got a throwy triangular thing which is great.  Dad said we should wait until Easter to get them but Mum said no Easter is for chocolate.  How many sleeps to Easter??

Update

A few busy days here with Dad back at work and the old gang of Mum, Murphy and Me spending our days together.  Dad is home quite early (before 6pm some days) so I am looking forward to the lighter and warmer evenings when we will be able to go out after dinner.

Last weekend Tigger had a sleep over at Nana's house.  It was just for one night which I think he enjoyed - probably got way more biscuits and sweeties than he does at home!

On Sunday we went to collect him and took him for a walk around our village.  He was really interested in the sheep, rabbits and ducks we saw as I don't think he sees many in Huddersfield.

On Tuesday we met with Aunty Debbie, Fergus and Lola for a walk.  Dery was there too but had some training rather than fun with us!  She is getting ready for her first test at Worcester next weekend.
I went there when I was her age.  I am sure she will be loads better than I was - I ran off from Mum, found Dad and posed beautifully for a photo in the middle of my test!  Here I am... it was very wet and muddy.

Yesterday we went to Thoresby for our walk.  Well,  Mum told us that's where we were, but it was so foggy we couldn't see the hall or anything.  Walking alongside the lake we were dive-bombed by a swan who clearly hadn't seen us as he took off.  Loads of great smells to investigate in the fog and I definitely heard a pheasant (saw him last week) and a woodpecker.

We had a walk around the lanes by the village today and had a big surprise walking past one garden to find a pony in residence.  I think Mum is disappointed that our garden isn't big enough for one! I don't think Dad is.

We watched some of Crufts yesterday afternoon.  Those chaps that do the flyball are so fast!  Really pleased to see Ben and his handler Dylan Thomas win the Gamekeeper's Competition.

Welsh Day

Well, Dad certainly picked the right morning to go back to work instead of taking us for a walk - we got soaked!

Still, the sight of these cheeky daffodils (or narcissi to be precise) cheered us up when we got home.

Happy St David's Day to all Welshies everywhere!
